Guys, he wasn’t able to take over the British due to their navy because it was an island nation. He then disrupted the congress of vienna in the 100 days, ending with waterloo and his exile to helena.

I agree this essay is written very well. Great Britian had help from spain and portugues, since Napoleon had tried to take them over once. The reason why napoleon could not take over britain is still not explained very clearly in my text books that I have been reading.

The essay has good language and it flows. It is also very informative and makes that part of history intresting even to me , a non historian.
I am however not quite convinced about the reason Napoleon could not take over great Britain. Didn’t all the other armies have great navies? Did Napoleon only have combat with Great Britain on water , how about the battles on land?
Apart from the very first battle that you mention Napoleon fought when the Corsicans aided by the British were revolting against French rule. he does not seem to have conquered the British in any way.
I am still curious about why? how come only they stood in his way against his rule over all Europe? i’m just so curious, still searching.
